The Data Space for Sustainable Smart Cities and Communities (DS4SSCC) is a federated European data space. It enables cities and local communities to share, organise, and enhance their urban data. This sharing takes place within a secure, interoperable framework aligned with principles of digital sovereignty.
FIWARE Foundation is involved in the technical leadership of the project and will integrate VisionsTrust technology. Together, we are building a common, open, and scalable infrastructure. As such, DS4SSCC plays an active role in supporting the digital and ecological transition of European territories.

Objectives of DS4SSCC

Provide a shared technological foundation for European cities: An infrastructure aligned with GDPR and European frameworks (Data Governance Act, GAIA‑X, IDSA), designed to enhance the sovereignty and digital efficiency of territories.
